MILFORD HAVEN
We raise our oysters in the historic waters of Milford Haven, on Gwynn’s Island. Where the currents of the southern Chesapeake Bay slap the edge of our beds and cradle our floating cages.
OUR WATERS ARE A PART OF EVERY
HAVEN GOLD OYSTER
History remembers Milford Haven as the site of a famous Revolutionary War battle, the Battle of Gwynn’s Island, and as a commercial fishing hub for generations. We like to think Milford Haven will also be famous for our Haven Gold oysters.
Protected by the island on one side and opening to the southern Chesapeake Bay on the other, Milford Haven is uniquely suited to raising exceptional oysters, with nearly perfect salinity, plenty of tide and a hard bottom.
It’s Bay water without the roughness, which allows us to work our oysters regularly, dependably delivering both high quality and high volume.
