Farmed in Milford Haven
Our oyster beds and floating cages rest in this historic waterway between Gwynn’s Island and the Chesapeake Bay, with a nearly perfect salinity of 15 to 18 parts per thousand, plenty of tide and a hard bottom.
STARTED EARLY AND RAISED RIGHT
We begin with tiny seed and raise our oysters completely in house, hands-on every step of the way, using unique local skills and resources. We never ship Haven Golds out for finishing somewhere else.
THE TRIPLOID ADVANTAGE
Our oysters are non-spawning Virginicus triploids, so Haven Golds are reliably plump and tender, and ship at the peak of flavor.
A HIGH TOUCH PROCESS
We’re on and in the water almost daily, handling our Haven Golds throughout their lifecycle to ensure consistent quality: from grading 3 to 4 times in the nursery to breaking multiple times as they grow, to final tumbling and grading.
